Only 80,800 miles, generally very good condition, always garaged, no rust, rego on hold. Located Hawke’s Bay. Any genuine inquiries welcome, cheers, Garry</blockquote>
Hey Garry, sorry but I've only just seen your response here. Is your Monza still for sale as we have people who are likely to be interested. Can you email me urgently at admin@opelforum.org.nz

<blockquote

The Getrag 265 box is the same as used in the big BMWs of the 1980s like the 635. There are a few Monzas here, but the Senators are the later model based on the Omega. Check out www.OpelForum.org.nz for other Monza owners from around NZ, Australia and some from UK too.

<a

Thank you for the amazing article. I am personally driving 1983 Opel Monza 3.0 GSE, which for last few years I am trying to recover fully. I found out you are from Australia - is there some Monza/Senators left? Is it possible to find a 5speed Getrag 265 for Monza like mine? Also, I will be happy to help me with more technical documentation, if you have that possibility.Thank you very much in advance! As back, I could provide any needed help, regarding my last 12years of experience with Opel Monza 3.0.

Hello,<br

I share your passion for the Opel 6 cylinder series, and am familiar with the Commodore-B recently crushed in Waiouru (very sorry to hear that!) - I used to own the sister car to that one, both of them imported by returning Army officers from a posting to Singapore in 1975. I owned mine from 1982 to 1987, and it was a very sad day when I sold it (I foolishly went for a newer 4 cylinder Manta, with which I had lots of problems). It was a difficult car to get serviced - whenever you mentioned 'Commodore' the automatic assumption was that Holden parts would fit (which they never did). Closest mechanical parts were BMW 5 series - I used to have mine serviced at Jensens BMW in Auckland. I sold mine to a young Air NZ Engineering Apprentice - he had the means to bring in parts as required. I hope he had as much fun with it as I did!
Rgds,
