The Ford Cosworth DFV engine made it racing debut at the Dutch Grand Prix in 1967, powering the Lotus 49s of Graham Hill and Jim Clark. Hill claimed pole position, and Clark won the race — the DFV went on to become the most successful engine ever in Formula One, winning 155 Grand Prix, the last in 1983.

The book also lists every DFV race win — in F1, Indycar and sports car racing. Indycar racing in the 1980s recorded more than 150 race wins for DFV.
