Around 150 cars were on show at the Vintage Car Club’s Easter rally in Hasting’s Hawke’s Bay Racing Centre. Hastings presented a perfectly clear blue sky – a bonus for the owners, many of whom had spent hours polishing brass, chrome and paintwork. Well-attended by the locals, it wasn’t just the cars that provided a spectacle: several traction engines delighted the crowd.
