Since its introduction in 2002, Spark has been steadily expanding its range of 1:43 resin models. Initially producing a wide selection of Le Mans models, it has progressively added land speed cars, CanAm, touring cars, race transporters, prototypes, road and rally cars. Now Spark has added more GP and F1 models to its extensive range.
Currently the selection includes 1:43 Mercedes, Matra, Lotus, BRM, Ligier, Tyrrell, Shadow, Renault, Alfa Romeo, March and Eagle classic grand prix cars from the 1930s to ’90s. And it’s one of these early F1 cars that we’re featuring here – the #27 Eagle Climax from the 1966 Belgium Grand Prix. The most impressive feature of Spark’s single-seater models is the extremely fine materials used for the exposed suspension arms, sway bars, exhausts, etc – all resulting in top quality models.
But the big news is, Spark has just announced it will soon release models from this year’s F1 grid. The first available will be 1:43 versions of some of the newer Teams – Lotus, HRT, Virgin, and Sauber. More will follow.
