News: Caltex My Minter competition gets going for 2010

It’s time to start shining up your classic again because Caltex is looking for New Zealand’s most pristine machine with the 2010 My Minter competition.

My Minter is a nationwide virtual car show competition where your votes determine the winning cars from four categories: Classic Minter, The Hard Working Minter, Motorbike Minter and Modified Minter.

After your votes are tallied and category winners are selected, each will go before the Caltex with Techron judging panel made up of judges from The Rock FM Drive show — Robert Taylor, magazines like Classic Car – Allan Walton, NZ Performance Car – Peter Kelly, Next – Liz Dobson and Car Lover and TV broadcaster Paul Henry to determine the Grand Champion Minter 2010!

Last year’s Grand Champion Minter was Tony McNaught’s fastidiously restored 1957 Land Rover Series 1 (pictured).

There are prizes for each of the My Minter Category winners and a prize for the Grand Champion Minter 2010.

Winner of each My Minter Category receives:

  • $2,500 Caltex StarCash to spend on Caltex with Techron fuel or other purchases from Caltex service stations.
  • Prize pack of Caltex Lubricants to the value of $531.00 (incl GST)

Grand Champion Minter 2010 will receive:

  • $2,500 Caltex StarCash to spend on Caltex with Techron fuel or other purchases from Caltex service stations and the prestige of knowing the public thinks you have the best minter in NZ.
  • A photo of the Grand Champion Minter will feature as a A2 poster in a Parkside Media Publication

Judges Choice 2010 (New category in 2010)
