Goodwood may host a motor show in 2010

With manufacturer attendance looking shaky at expos worldwide, now wouldn’t seem like the smartest time to launch a new motor show. But according to recent reports that’s exactly what the Earl of March and his team at Goodwood are scheming up.
According to information coming out of the UK, the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed could be preceded by a car show featuring displays from manufacturers and even a 3.5-mile track on which prospective buyers would be able to take new cars for test drives.
Apparently this year’s “featured marque” Alfa Romeo, which is celebrating its centenary, will use the event to debut the new Giulietta. That, combined with the future of the official British International Motor Show looking dubious, Goodwood could be on to something well… Good.
