This is the kind of video that should appeal to almost all motorsport enthusiasts. A 1,190kg Suzuki SX4 with a 3.1-litre twin-turbo V6 blown out to 668kW and 654 pound-feet of torque takes on a mixed-terrain mountain road.

The vehicles driver is the infamous Nobuhiro “Monster” Tajima and the footage comes from this year’s Pikes Peak event in Colorado, U.S.A. There’s no theatrics, no gimmicks, just 11 straight minutes of hard-throttle speed, dirt, opposite lock and a high-revving mechanical soundtrack.
